I assumed that he put it into the bag when he bought the TV (he bought the chips too in another shop while he was on his shopping spree). He opened the package from the bottom; carefully put it in and when at home he opened the chips with a big show from the top. But then there would have been risk, if for example… say his sister could have taken that chips packet from the cupboard At least in the manga it said that those kinds of chips were his, as it was only him who ate them. But in here, you are right, here it looked that he was extremely lucky (oooooh, bought some chips and won a TV, that was inside, cool.) Or that he bought a really expensive packet of chips ("Now, your favourite flavour comes with a tiny TV, enjoy the game and the snack").

Well those are my two cents. * shrug*

Oh, COME ON! You think the TV wouldn't fall out of the plastic bag from the end which he already opened to put the TV in ther in the first place, while he was opening the other end (and with such drama, too)? While he was showing off how to open a bag of chips, the TV would simply fall out of the bottom. I would so laugh if that happened: imagine his face, face of L when he sees that, AND the face of YAgami-san when he sees what his precious son eats for snacks.
